Surabaya, September 29, 2025 — The Airlangga University Biomedical Engineering Master’s Program once again presented an inspiring and scientifically insightful Alumni Guest Lecture. The theme of this event was “Decoding the Brain: Can We Read the Human Mind?” with Muhammad Kashif, one of the program’s best alumni who is currently pursuing his doctoral studies at Tor Vergata University of Rome, Italy, as the guest speaker.

The event, held online via Zoom Meeting on Monday, September 29, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. Western Indonesian Time, was attended by students and lecturers from the UNAIR Master of Biomedical Engineering Program. This guest lecture served as a forum for sharing knowledge and experiences in neuroscience, brain imaging technology, and decoding nerve signals, which are rapidly developing in the world of international research.

In this session, Muhammad Kashif discussed various current approaches in reading human brain activity using biomedical technology and artificial intelligence. Participants gained in-depth insights into how neural signals can be translated into information patterns that open up new opportunities in the world of brain-computer interface (BCI) and neuroengineering.

This activity is part of the commitment of the UNAIR Biomedical Engineering Master’s Program to strengthen academic networks with alumni who are active on the global stage. Through guest lectures such as this, students are expected to broaden their horizons, deepen their research interests, and be motivated to contribute to the development of biomedical technology in the future.
