Surabaya, September 30, 2026 — Faculty members from the Master’s Program in Biomedical Engineering at the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), participated in an innovation product exhibition held on September 17, 2026. The exhibition was part of a series of events organized by the Ministry of Law of the Republic of Indonesia titled “What’s Up Campus Calls Out.”
During the event, the team from the FST UNAIR Master’s Program in Biomedical Engineering showcased an innovation in health technology: the “X-Manibus Personal Health Care Robot.” This innovative product was developed to leverage robotics technology in support of personal health service and monitoring needs.
The event involved faculty and students from both the undergraduate and master’s programs in Biomedical Engineering at FST UNAIR, with Dr. Riries Rulaningtyas, S.T., M.T., serving as the lead researcher and person in charge of the product. The presentation of X-Manibus at the exhibition provided an opportunity for the team to introduce their technological development to the public and demonstrate the contributions of the UNAIR Biomedical Engineering academic community in creating innovations tailored to healthcare needs.
Participation in “What’s Up Campus Calls Out” also served as an effort to expand networks and showcase the university’s innovation potential to various stakeholders. Through the exhibition, visitors gained insight into the health technology development process and the role of Biomedical Engineering in integrating engineering principles, technology, and medical requirements.
For the FST UNAIR Master’s Program in Biomedical Engineering, this involvement marked a significant moment to continue fostering a culture of innovation and research collaboration, as well as to advance the commercialization and practical application of work produced by faculty and students, ultimately delivering broader benefits to society. The team’s participation in this exhibition reinforces the commitment of the Biomedical Engineering Master’s Program at FST UNAIR to continuously develop human resources and technological innovations in the biomedical field—innovations that are responsive to technological advancements and future healthcare service needs.
